Founded in 1929 in Milan by Valentino Bompiani, it’s one of the best known publishing house in Italy. Among the authors who have been published by Bompiani there are some of the leading figures of Italian literature such as Umberto Eco, Alberto Moravia, and Elio Vittorini.
