Born in Milan, Lombardy, 1940. From 1959 to 1963 he studied at the Umanitaria School in Milan under Albe Steiner. In 1965 he opened his own studio in Milan and started to collaborate with Giulio Confalonieri and Studio Boggeri. In 1976 his brother Maurizio joined him. The year later he moved to New York City to work at Vignelli Associates on major corporate identity programs. During his career he served prestigious clients including De Padova, Montecatini Edison, Roche, Touring Club of Italy, and the United Nations for which he designed a poster for the world peace that has become a world classic. Member of AGI. Honorary Member of AIAP. He taught and exhibited both in Italy and abroad, and his work has been published on the most important design magazines. He also publishes some book about graphic design.
